Kenai River Sportfishing Association partners with the Kenai/Soldotna community, volunteers and sponsors to organize a variety of special events aimed at raising funds and allowing new people and old friends to spend a day or two on the Kenai River and to learn about and enjoy sportfishing. 

Kenai River Classic
The Kenai River Classic is an invitational fishing event held each July to raise funds for habitat restoration projects, fisheries education, research and management. 2010 dates are July 8, 9 & 10. Registration Information (pdf)

Kenai River Jr. Classic
Some young Alaskans have never had the opportunity to go fishing, and that's what the Jr. Classic is all about. We bring kids between the ages of eight and 16 to fish with a professional guide on the Kenai River during the Jr. Classic and also learn about salmon, river ecology and boating safety.  2010 date is August 11.

Kenai River Women's Classic
One of the first events of its kind for women in Alaska, KRSA, in conjunction with the Anchorage Chamber of Commerce's ATHENA Society, invites professional women to come to Soldotna in September for two days of silver salmon fishing, networking and educational seminars.                 2010 dates are September 9, 10 & 11.  Registration Information (pdf)
