About KRSA

Kenai River Sportfishing Association (KRSA) is a professional, 501(c)3 charitable non-profit, dedicated to ensuring the sustainability of the world's premier sport fishing river --- the Kenai. The association's area of responsibility encompasses the Kenai River watershed, the greater Cook Inlet basin and Alaska, with programs focused on habitat, fisheries management, research and education. Since 1984, KRSA has been a leading advocate for fisheries conservation in Alaska, working diligently to ensure Alaskan's recreational fishery rights are protected and the fisheries are healthy for generations to come.

  • KRSA's board of directors and staff care deeply about its mission, share a passion for fishing and strive to make the organization effective and efficient.

  • Throughout the year, more than 200 volunteers and more than 250 members contribute their time and money in support of KRSA's programs .

  • More than 100 corporations, businesses and individuals contribute as sponsors and donors to KRSA's annual fundraising events .

  • With an understanding that no one entity can do it all, KRSA actively seeks partners on the local, state and federal level in order to coordinate and leverage existing resources.

The Kenai River is recognized as a crown jewel for sport fishing and conservation in Alaska. KRSA works at the heart of this convergence, with fishery conservation programs in habitat, fisheries management, research and education. Altogether, it has been a recipe for success. An investment in KRSA is an investment in the future, where the sustainability of tomorrow rests upon the foundations we build today.
